What people ask first
What it costs
$1,500
to launch, or 3 × $500 paid 30 days apart. Then $79 a month. An extra page is $250, and there’s no GST on any of it. You pay nothing until you’ve seen your site and your 10-business-day cooling-off is over.
The full quote
Everyone pays the same. Here’s the quote I’d write you.
| One long page, designed, written and built | $1,500 |
|---|---|
| or three payments, 30 days apart | 3 × $500 |
| Your .com.au, first year | included |
| Care plan, from launch day | $79 a month |
| Extra page, if you want one | $250 |
| GST (I’m not registered) | $0 |
| First year, all up | $2,448 |
The $79 covers hosting, the padlock (the security certificate), renewing your .com.au, backups, keeping the quote form working and up to 30 minutes of small changes a month. Anything that would take me more than 30 minutes in a month, I quote first. After the first year it’s $948 a year.
How it works
A quick call, then you text me photos, and a few days later you see your site on your phone and decide: keep it, or walk away owing nothing.
Hi, it’s Ezra, the web designer who just rang. Text me 5–10 photos of your work by tomorrow night and I’ll show you your site Friday at 4.30.

All six steps, and the texts I send
Almost all of it happens by phone and text. North or south of the river makes no difference.
Illustration: the amber bits are texts I send, near enough word for word.

A quick phone call
I ask about your work and what you charge, and you hear my price on that same call. Nothing after that should be a surprise.
-
I design yours
Once your photos land, I build the whole page around them and write the words for you. It takes me a few days.
Wednesday, 8.05am Got all eight, thanks. The before-and-after one is going at the top.
-
You see it on your phone
I ring at the time you picked and text you the link while you’re on the line. You scroll while I stop talking, then tell me what you’d change. Two rounds of changes are part of it.
Friday, 4.31pm, while we’re on the phone Here’s your draft, have a scroll: yourbusiness-preview.pages.dev
-
You decide
If it’s a no, you owe nothing, and I delete the draft and your photos within 14 days. If it’s a yes, you sign a short agreement.
-
Ten business days to change your mind
Because I contacted you first, the law gives you a cooling-off period of 10 business days, starting the business day after you get the agreement. Weekends and WA public holidays don’t count. Until it’s over, I can’t take any money or put the site live.
-
Launch day
The business day after the cooling-off ends, you pay the $1,500 (or the first $500) and the site goes live on your .com.au, about two weeks after you get the agreement. The $79 a month starts that day.
Launch day, 9.02am You’re live! yourbusiness.com.au is up. Any small changes, just text me.
Who owns it
Your .com.au is in your name and ABN from day one, and once the launch is paid, the site files are yours to copy and change for good. No lock-in. Give me 30 days’ notice and the $79 stops.
You deal with me, start to finish
I’m Ezra Smith. I’m 18 and I live in South Perth. Dezz Web Studio is just me: no team, no office. The number on this page rings my phone, and if I miss you, I ring back.
One thing I’ll push you on: put a price on the page, even a ‘from’ price. It stops the calls from people who were never going to book.
ABN 68 759 921 573. Look it up and it’s my name on it.
Ezra
What else people ask me
You’re 18. What happens if you pack it in?
The .com.au is in your name. It stays yours whatever happens to me. I’d give you at least 30 days’ notice and hand over the site files, and any web designer can host them from there.
Who else have you made sites for?
No paying clients yet. That’s why I design yours first: you see your own site before you decide anything.
What’s the catch?
The $79 a month. That’s what keeps the site online and me on the end of the phone, and you hear about it on our first call. You can’t skip it, but you can stop it with 30 days’ notice and I’ll hand you the site files to host somewhere else.
I get my work from Facebook and word of mouth. Why bother?
If you’re booked out, maybe don’t. It helps with the people who’ve been given your name and look you up: they see your prices and photos, and can text you at 10pm without a Facebook account. I can’t promise new customers. It makes it easier for the ones who already want you.
Will it get me to the top of Google?
I can’t promise that, and I’d be wary of anyone who does. I set the page up so Google can read it properly, and I link it to your Google Business Profile, which is what shows up on Maps.
Can I change things myself?
Not easily. It isn’t a drag-and-drop builder. You text me the change and I make it, and a new price or photo comes out of your 30 minutes a month.
Can customers book online?
Yes, if you already use a booking app. I add a big Book button that goes straight to it. If you don’t have one, people can ring you or send a request through your form.
Ring or text me about yours
If you’d rather not talk yet, leave your number and I’ll text you.
